This editor is similar to a word processor on your computer. Highlight the text you want to replace with your mouse, and then type over the existing text. To replace an image, right click on the image until a popup menu appears. Select "change image" from this menu and follow the on screen instructions. You can either replace an image from your computer, or select an existing uploaded image.

When typing in this editor, avoid using <enter> or <return> by itself. If you want a line break or carriage return, always press shift+enter or shift+return. This will ensure formatting and avoid any formatting errors. If something does not look correct, do not press save at the bottom of the screen. Cancel and start over. After your changes are acceptable, press "save".

The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan political organization that encourages informed and active participation in government. We influence public policy through education and advocacy. Our goal is to empower citizens to take an active role in shaping better communities worldwide.


Formed 100 years ago from the movement that secured the right to vote for women, the foundational goal of the League of Women Voters is to expand voter participation and give a voice to all Americans. Our issues are grounded in our respected history of making democracy work for all Americans.

  • The League of Women Voters of the United States includes more than 800 state and local Leagues in all 50 states and D.C.
  • The League of Women Voters of Moore County was established in 1985 and currently has over 120 members.
  • The LWV is strictly non-partisan, neither supporting or opposing any political party or candidate.
